Sector: Mobile crane, rigging and lifting ·
Size: ~46 people ·
Operations: Perth base with Goldfields and Midwest regional work ·
Engagement: Embedded HSEQ function (project delivery + ongoing support) · Standards: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, fully integrated
The challenge
A growing Western Australian crane and lifting operator was running quality and safety as separate, partly-documented systems while working across corporate offices, a depot and high-risk client sites. Duplicated paperwork, inconsistent controls between regions, and the everyday hazards of craneage — lifting, rigging, heavy vehicles — meant the business needed one system that frontline crews would actually use, and evidence it was working.
How we helped
HSEQ Logic worked as an extension of the team — not a report-and-leave consultant. We designed and embedded a single integrated management system covering both quality and safety, then tailored it to the realities of craneage rather than bolting on generic templates:
One integrated HSEQ management plan, document control and management-review rhythm across ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
Sector-specific controls where the real risk sits — cranes and lifting operations, rigging registers, heavy-vehicle management, and a cyclone plan for WA exposure.
An enterprise and critical-risk framework, a psychosocial risk plan aligned to ISO 45003, and structured incident investigation.
Legal and compliance registers mapped to WA legislation, plus contractor pre-qualification and induction.
The outcome
We ran a full internal audit across every department — from the leadership team through engineering, operations, finance and HR. The audit confirmed the quality and safety systems were fully integrated: one documentation set, one way of working, evidence of use in the field rather than a folder on a shelf. The business moved from two partial systems to a single, audit-ready HSEQ system its people could actually run.
Why it matters
This is how we work: we build capability that stays with the organisation, tailored to how its teams actually operate, and we prove it with evidence — not claims.
Practical systems that work in the field, integrated so quality and safety reinforce each other, and audited so you can show they work.
